YES! It's done!:D
Another Kirin, sketched and inked with a .05 blue-grey micron pen and black microns, then painted over with prussia blue watercolor and japanese watercolors (metallic silver), india ink for the mane and tail, and drawing inks for metallic tones. I also used a japanese brush pen I bought at Sakura in which I had also found to be water soluble. When applied to the neck mane and tendrils flowing from the legs and layered over with water (and metallic silver) it gave a watery appearance and dark tones in which could be incorporated into the backround. For some reason, I always ink the feet last.
Overall a blast to doX)

Gwah, this took all week, but mostly yesterday and today. At school there's a really cool math poster with a traditional chinese kirin on it. I liked the pose and decided to sketch it while listening to Stupify by Disturbed on my friend's ipod (I'm not a Disturbed fan, but I like the way the song sounds).

This was a 4 part scan, as it was done in my 14 by 17 inch sketchbook. :D
I hate titles....

This is extremely dynamic - there is so much movement! Great work.
Thats ridiculously good, especially the scales
I am shocked. Stunned. And amazed. Effortlessly elemental... every motion and detail lends to the notion of water.

Love this so much
